Financial Policy
Patient Billing
In the interest of a good oral health care practice, it is desirable to establish an office policy to avoid any misunderstandings. Our primary responsibility is to help our patients experience good health and we wish to spend our time and energy toward that end.
If you have insurance, please provide our office with your current dental insurance card. Insurance is billed as a courtesy to you. Your insurance benefit is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. We are not party to that contract. Please be aware that not all services are a covered benefit, and most insurances have a yearly maximum. It is your responsibility to be aware of your benefit package. Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage. Upon request, a pre-determined estimate of benefits can be given to you. We will gladly discuss your proposed treatment and answer any questions you may have.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. Financial arrangements for a monthly payment plan may be arranged, but this must be done prior to the actual procedure.
For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless previous arrangements have been made with our front office. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at (503) 661-2600. Many times, a simple phone call will clear up any misunderstandings.
