Infection Control
At Gresham Family Dentistry we follow protocols recommended by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These protocols allow our patients and our dental team to practice dentistry in a safe environment.
Standard Protocols
- Disinfectant hand soap
- Gloves and face masks
- Chemical disinfection of countertops and hard surfaces
- Sterilization of all equipment before every use
- Disposable materials
- We sterilize all reusable equipment using an autoclave, a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam and pressure.
