Don’t Forget – Take The Whole Two Minutes To Brush Your Teeth!

Everyone knows that they’re supposed to brush their teeth for at least two minutes, but sometimes we all – yes, even adults – fall short of that two-minute mark. In fact, studies show that on average Americans fall short of even the half-way mark. The average American brushes their teeth for just 45 seconds. How can you make sure you reach that 2minute mark? Here are some tips to try out,

Brush “Quadrant” Style

This method is really simple. Just divide your mouth into sections or “quadrants” – upper and lower left, upper and lower right. Then, brush each of those sections for 30 seconds.

Set Yourself A Timer

Get a timer! Most people have smartphones that come with a built-in timer or stopwatch. Make use of those applications.

Electric Toothbrushes

If you like electric toothbrushes, consider one that comes with a timer of its own. These toothbrushes will vibrate after 30second intervals so you know when to switch to brushing a different section of your mouth.

Listen To A Song

Most songs are longer than two minutes, but listening to just two minutes of a song you enjoy while you brush your teeth can be a fun way to keep yourself on track.
